Speaking the Truth in a World That Prefers Liars
Truth is usually defined by its dictionary definitions, which may say “that which is genuine, real, correct, accurate, provable, opposite of false, that which accords with reality, actuality or fact. Jesus personifies the definition by saying of himself “I AM THE TRUTH.” (John 14:6) Consequently, if you do not know the Person who embodies truth, you will not be able to clearly discern what is true or not true as you go through life.
In Deuteronomy 5:20, we read about God’s commandment to not bear false witness and how Christians are supposed to be people of truth because our Savior is the Truth.
